Neglected Areas

Making use of neglected and abandoned areas could also be useful for planning events. Drawing people to new areas or areas they have never been before, creating both a sense of adventure and connecting them with the city. Whether this is through a series of smaller events across Manchester or through installations, sculpture or new art work around the city. Pop-up and temporary pieces could work well for this aspect. I’m keen to include creative events that may be related to drawing or perhaps more instructional, giving people new ways to look at the environment around them.

Manchester is changing all the time with buildings being knocked down and the land beneath them being left derelict until new buildings are constructed, more often than not, temporary car parks are put in their place. These points around the city could house pop up events or temporary structures.
